After the mob killing of several men in Kitengela, Nairobi news went out on stereotypes about men who look a certain way (Dreads & Tattoos) There’s still lots of stigma in Kenyan society about people who look this way and I wanted to show it in my work because my appearance fits the bill. A topic that affects me even without my consent. In the work, I wanted to show the beauty in people who look this way. Not just the evil bits. They're part of us. They're not going anywhere. It's just about time we find a way to embrace them and live with them.
