Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1959. Underwater photographer, diver, pharmacist, SPO.

He has been diving and taking underwater photos in Kyushu and the world's oceans for 27 years. After winning a prize in a photo contest organized by Marine Photo magazine, he has continued to take underwater photos from the days of film-based cameras such as Nikonos RS and Nikonos V to the age of digital cameras.

He is a man who loves the sea of Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture. In 2021, he won a prize in a photo contest held by Marine Diving Magazine. Currently, he is supporting the management of Mac, a guesthouse in Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, while focusing on creating an environment that fosters young divers.

The Sea of Japan

Itoshima Peninsula is located at the exit of Hakata Bay to the Genkai Sea, right in front of Fukuoka City, a city of one million. He also dives the World Heritage site of Okinoshima Island and Iki in Nagasaki Prefecture. He has been photographing the marine life living there throughout the four seasons. He continues to capture Japan's oceans with amazement and excitement, capturing the biodiversity of the seas right in front of the big cities.

NP Niceper Planet

Imagine a planet somewhere in our Galaxy  that is inhabited by nice persons. Not necessarily nice people, because they are not human,  but nice persons, or Nicepers. Because that is what the inhabitants of this planet are called. Nicepers are more evolved than humans, because they have left their primordial insticts behind.


Nicepers do not go to war with eachother. They do not engage in petty arguments. Instead they all share a common vision of their existence which is simply to make life as easy and pleasant for one another as possible. Sounds great, doesn't it? What if all people on earth would behave like this? What if our main purpose was to first look after our fellow men and women, and be concerned about their happiness? This is the imaginary planet called NiceperPlanet, and this project aims to get us there...a little step at a time.
